Valentines Treat and Chinese New Year in One
Valentines Day falls the same day as the Chinese New Year, so to celebrate both, we decided to have our Valentines date in a Chinese restaurant situated very near the Crossharbour station called Lotus Chinese Floating Restaurant. We don’t go out on the actual V-day though, so we had our sumptuous – yes indeed! ‘Sumptuous’ because it was out of budget… LOL! – lunch date on a Saturday. But it’s all right because we took away what’s left and had them for our lunch and dinner the next day. =)
Shrimp Dumpling
We got 2 orders of Shrimp Dumplings and good thing before my daughter munches up on the last piece, I remembered to take a photo of it. It is the family’s favorite starter from now on.
Chicken with Sweet Corn Soup
Alyssa liked the soup, but didn’t finish it. Then when I saw how much it costs, I tried my best to finish it all up even though I was so full. It served as my dessert. =)
Assorted Meat and Seafood Fried Noodles
Can you see how rich the ingredients are? I almost called the waiter and say that it’s not what we ordered because I can’t see the noodles. =)
Yeung Chow Fried Rice
We learned our lesson with rice. Next time, we’ll order steam rice instead because there’s already too much texture on the viands.
Barbecued Pork (Char Shui)
This is one thing we don’t miss when we visit Lotus. It’s just so tasty.
Braised Beef (not sure bout how it’s called)
It has a succulent fillet of beef. So tender and so flavorful.
Can you imagine how the 3 of us, oh actually 2, looks like after lunch? LOL!!!
It was a lovely Valentines lunch worth remembering.
