FTF: Ginataang Kalabasa (Squash in Coconut Milk)

Squash or Kalabasa in Tagalog is widely availbale here in London, so one time I decided to cook it in coconut milk. It usually has string beans so when I found string beans for the first time, I immediately asked how much and I almost fell down when the vendor answered, “£3.00″. Gosh! It’s like $5? So I went back to my ever reliab

Cranberry Juice – Prevents and Treats UTI

This post is to show how fruits really take a huge part in our health.

Last month, I had a hard time peeing and it lasted for 2 weeks. I had an idea that it was a UTI (Unrinary Tract Infection) and when I researched on it, all my weird feelings matches with the symptoms. Right there and then, I researched for possible treatments and I want one that’s fast and will not require a doctor’s visit.

Then most of the articles are saying that cranberry juice is a proven treatment. Since I am a few steps away from the nearest store, I bought 1 litre and started drinking when I reached home. I haven’t finished a glass yet, but I already felt the effect of it. I don’t feel like urinating anymore and I managed not to pee for a few hours, unlike the past few days were I do almost 3x an hour.

I just continued drinking and after 2 days, I’m totally UTI free! No more cramps, no more bloody urine and just normal urinating periods.

Here are the sympoms of UTI that I’ve experienced.

√Frequent urge to urinate;

√Despite the urge to urinate, only a small amout of urine is passed;

√Painful and burning feeling during and after urination;

√Feels bad all over – tired, shaky and washed out; and

√There’s a little blood after every pee.

All of these were gone right before I finish my 1 litre of cranberry juice. Indeed it’s effective, but if it continues better go to your doctor because a serious infection may lead to fever, pain in the back or side below the ribs, nausea, or vomiting.
