Max’s with Mareng Irish

I had the entire afternoon with my kumareng Irish. We stayed at an ice cream place at the block because our feet were somehow injured and left only when it’s time for dinner. We decided to go at Max’s Restaurant and had the usual Max’s Chicken, Crispy Pata Sweet ‘n Sour Fish Fillet and trying out their new Pork Binagoongan.

Then we headed out to buy some stuff, took Alyssa for some arcade games and went home. In the end it was an afternoon well spent. We both enjoyed each other and learned that distance won’t ever lessen a true a lasting bond. I am planning of sending her flowers gifts soon, don’t you tell. :) :)

Jollibee with the Family

Who wouldn’t miss the most famous bee? I’ve always loved that sweet style pinoy taste of Jolibee spaghetti and chicken joy. One of the most comforting food combo ever. So while we’re home, my whole family headed off to the nearest Jolibee in town and had our snacks there.

YUM!!!

See my cheeky munchkin??? Getting silly while waiting for the food.

The family that eats together…gets big together hehehe

Jolibee spaghetti has about 560 calories while one piece chicken joy has about 95cal, add the drink and dessert that you are most likely to eat too so that doesn’t really sound so healthy after all but if you’re far away from home like us it is safe to say we can indulge ourselves to endless Jabi. Here’s hoping we all have disability insurance that covers the whole family for whatever effect this may cause. LOL

“Sweets” Cake in July

My daughter rarely enjoys shopping for her own clothes, but last week I was surprised at how she insisted to buy the dress she calls “another princess dress” with candies, lollies, and other sweets imprints on it. It will be her birthday dress as well. Actually, since we moved here in London, she rarely have those special occasion dresses. She just wears whatever there is in her closet. Whereas when we’re still in the Philippines, in every special occasion like Christmas and birthdays, she has to have a new dress. But I think it’s better now since she’s learning that she can always use whatever’s already available.

I remembered I showed her the cake I was planning to make for her birthday. I told her, since she’s had character themed parties on all her 5 birthdays, just for a change this year will be different. She’ll be having a “sweets” themed party and this will be the cake I’m going to do for her. And she said, “Oh! Yes mum! It’ll be perfect!”

The original cake is by Rouvelee's Creations

I’m just hoping that come July, I give justice to the original cake which is just so stunningly pretty.
