These yummy cakes are both from Patisserie Valerie which has branches in Chester, Chichester, Liverpool, Manchester, Peterborough, Windsor, Chelsea, Victoria, Bath, Bristol, Canterbury, Kensington, Leeds, Birmingham among others. This family friendly café have high chairs available for their little guests and some branches has baby changing facilities. Aside from their yummy choices of cakes, they also have marzipan, éclairs, tart, profiteroles, chocolate truffles, and hand make Italian ice cream or gelato. Yogurt based ice creams and sorbets are available in 24 different flavors like melon zorbet, seeded vanilla, mascarpone, coconut and so on. Cakes ranges from £18.95 for a 6” to about £159.95 for a 16”round cake.
Meanwhile, it’s summer time for my little girl and that means she gets to stay in house for the next 2 months. I was thinking of whether to enroll her in a table tennis lesson or maybe ballet. She also wants to learn how to play the violin and the piano. Think think think…..

This time, we escaped the busy city of New york and explored the USA’s capital, Washington D.C.
It is very different from New York as it is clean and relaxing. Upon arriving the city, we decided to go directly to the White House since hubby’s so excited to see it. He loves reading biographies of the presidents of the United States and he’s also an avid fan of the West Wing series.
We were already walking when we realized we don’t know where we are at that moment. Good thing there’s a small shop in front of us so that was the only time we thought we needed a map. Just a few walk and we’re already in White House. We went there alone so there’s no way we can have a family picture unless a kind stranger offers to take us even a single shot. We left White House without having a family pic, so we thought..we have to go back the following day since we’ll be meeting my college classmate..and so we did. Along the way we saw some a nice shop that sells stickemarchery bowhunting equipment.
It was a very long walk under the very bright sunshine..no wonder, we got a bit tan. But the whole half day was very fun.
At around 6:00pm, we decided to check-in in our hotel because we’ll be meeting hubby’s previous officemates at 7pm for dinner.
Alyssa got so tired even though the whole time she’s just sitting in her stroller..so when it’s time for dinner, she really didn’t help but sleep.
