Malunggay Leaves, I’ll be needing you soon…
Before, we were considering 2 factors for the pregnancy – that the baby should be born on the month of August, the latest so it’ll be the right timing for school; that we can only try during certain months for the baby to be a boy. But now, hubby said, let’s just do it and never mind those factors.
It’s been 2 months already since we first tried conceiving, unfortunately we aren’t successful yet. We thought it’ll be easy that we’ll have it the first try, but as they say – the more you like it, the harder it will be. Still… we won’t give-up trying and praying. We know it will be given to us in God’s time.
I miss having a baby again, I miss the carying and taking good care of my own little one, and I miss breastfeeding. When I’ve just given birth, I often ask other mothers about how to product more breast milk and all of them suggested that I add malunggay leaves in every meal as much as possible and I did. I did it because ever since, I believe in the power of breastfeeding – its health benefits to the baby, the bond that it builts between the mother and the child, and the fact that it helps lose the pregnancy weight. I exclusively breastfed my daughter for 10 months, but if only circumstances allowed us then, I should’ve breastfed her longer.
Now, I’m looking forward to adding malunggay leaves again to most of my meals. I still don’t know if it exists in the land of the English, but if not, then I’d have to find other ways. Nothing can stop me from breastfeeding my future baby.
